The short version

BuddyHelps is built for solo plumbers and small shops. If that's you, don't worry about this page - just use the service and grow your business.

If you're running a larger operation with multiple trucks and technicians, we'd love to work with you on a plan that fits. Just reach out.

Who BuddyHelps is designed for

BuddyHelps at $197/month is designed for:

• Solo operators and small plumbing businesses (1-3 technicians)
• Single-location businesses
• Direct notification to one or two people (you and maybe a spouse/office manager)
• Typical call volumes for small service businesses

This covers the vast majority of independent plumbers in Alberta.

What fair use means

Call volume

There's no hard limit on calls. Most small plumbing businesses receive 100-300 calls per month, and BuddyHelps handles that without question.

If your call volume consistently exceeds 400 calls per month, we'll reach out to have a conversation. Not to cut you off - to make sure you're on a plan that fits your growing business. That's a good problem to have.

Notification recipients

BuddyHelps sends call notifications to you via text and email. The service is designed for notifications going to 1-3 people (typically the owner, and optionally a spouse or office manager who handles scheduling).

If you need to route notifications to 4+ technicians or want dispatch-style distribution to a team, that's a different use case. Contact us about our Business tier with multi-technician support.

One business per account

Each BuddyHelps subscription is for one plumbing business. The service isn't designed for:

• Answering services reselling to multiple clients
• Marketing agencies white-labeling for their customers
• Multiple separate businesses sharing one account

If you run multiple businesses, each needs its own subscription.

What happens if you exceed fair use?

We're not going to surprise you with overage charges or suddenly cut off your service.

If we notice usage that doesn't fit the typical small business pattern, we'll reach out personally to understand your situation. Usually this means:

1. Your business is growing (great!) and you might benefit from a higher tier
2. There's something unusual about your setup we should discuss
3. You're a larger operation that needs custom pricing

We'll always have a conversation first. No gotchas.

Why we have this policy

BuddyHelps is $197/month with unlimited calls because we've built it specifically for small plumbing businesses. The economics work because most small shops have predictable call volumes.

A 10-truck operation with 1,000+ calls per month is a different business with different needs. We'd rather build them something that actually fits than pretend one price works for everyone.

This policy lets us keep pricing simple and affordable for the independent plumbers we built BuddyHelps for.
