I set up forwarding but calls aren't going to Buddy

Make sure you disabled voicemail first. Most carriers require you to turn off voicemail before call forwarding will work. Call your carrier or dial the voicemail disable code for your network.

How do I turn off forwarding when I want to answer calls myself?

Dial ##21# on most carriers to disable all forwarding. Or use *73 on some networks. Check your carrier-specific guide for the exact code.

Buddy answered but I didn't get a text

Check your spam/blocked messages. Text notifications come from a 10-digit number, not a short code. Still not getting them? Email cameron@buddyhelps.ca and we'll sort it out.

The caller said Buddy sounded robotic or cut off

This is usually a poor cell connection on the caller's end. Buddy uses high-quality voice, but can't fix bad phone lines. If it happens repeatedly, contact us.

Can I customize how Buddy answers?

Buddy's script is optimized using real customer satisfaction and conversion data to get you the best results. Your business name is already in there. If you have feedback on how calls are handled, we're always listening.

Understanding Your Text Notifications

After every call, you get a text with:

  • Name: Caller's name
  • Phone: Callback number (tap to call)
  • Address: Where the job is
  • Issue: What they need help with
  • Urgency: How urgent (emergency, today, this week, etc.)
